Description
& Use

Used in shampoos, skin care and cosmetics. also used in teas. Parts used are the flower. The name comes from the Greek chamaimelon "apple on the ground" because it smells like an apple when stepped on. The Saxons considered this herb sacred and called it "Maythen."

The French called this herb six flavored "tisanes" or herb tea and is used for its natural flavor. Also used for its natural soothing sensation on the skin and to ease the aches and pains of the body. The essential oils smooth the skin and is used on wrinkles which takes about six to eight weeks to take affect.

Side Effects

When using the oil avoid contact with the eyes and mouth since it will cause irritation. Pregnant and lactating mothers should avoid using this herb as it may cause fetal abnormalities.
