Used in shampoos, skin care and cosmetics. also used in teas. Parts used are the flower. The name comes from the Greek chamaimelon "apple on the ground" because it smells like an apple when stepped on. The Saxons considered this herb sacred and called it "Maythen."
The French called this herb six flavored "tisanes" or herb tea and is used for its natural flavor. Also used for its natural soothing sensation on the skin and to ease the aches and pains of the body.
