Description
& Use

Considered a brain food in India where it is popular in use. In Sri lanka, people saw elephants chewing the plant and related it to a prolonged life. Known as "herb for the brain" this herb has also been used as a tonic for nervous tension.

It is also used for varicose veins, as a memory enhancer, leg swelling (as an anti-diuretic,) constipation, hormonal imbalance, skin restoration, venereal disease and circulatory disorders.

Usually processed in extracts, capsules, creams and teas.

Side Effects

Don't use this herb if you are taking other medications. Known side affects include skin inflammation, dizziness or itching.
